Large part of the current structure of the French capital is due to Georges Eugène Haussmann, political and urban planner of the nineteenth century. His interventions characterized several districts of the city, creating a particular architectural style mirror of the prosperity of the industrial era. Also the Hotel Vernet is located inside one of the buildings, located between Place de l'Etoile and the Golden Triangle District, typical of urban reconfiguration desired by Haussman.

The Hotel, which is celebrating its centenary, has recently moved to the property of Signature Bessé (young and dynamic French group) who has commissioned the complete renovation of it to the interior designer Francois Champsaur. The results obtained from the restoration of the Hotel Vernet show the long experience acquired by the designer of Marseille both as in the field of luxury hotels and as a collector.
The atmosphere that reigns inside the Hotel Vernet recalls the home of a collector: pieces of furniture, selection of works of art, materials and shades give life to balanced spatial compositions, studied in a contemporary context. Champsaur's desire to combine the traditional French art and design is realized in virtuosity as the fresco specially created by the visual artist Jean-Michel Albertola or the stunning restaurant created under the cupola, original work of Gustave Eiffel.
