The QT Hotel Sydney takes life in the restructuring of two particoular buildings of Market Street: State Theatre and man's department store of Growings. Many of the general characteristics, which constitute the vintage appearance, have been maintained and propose with the use of a strong contemporary accent. The coexistence of Italian architecture, Art Deco, Gothic and modern makes of QT Hotel an eclectic and unique place, with eccentric and almost chaotic design.

The designers which are responsible for the realization are Nic Graham + Associates, the team responsible for project of all public areas, and Shelley Indyk from the study Indyk Architects, who studied a different style for each of the 200 guest rooms. The challenge have set themselves is that of being able to pervade two structures born with completely different functions with the hotel's brand identity. The classical theater, with all the features that are suitable for this type of environment, and industrial and cold stores have been revised to give environment a sexy and fun atmosphere.

The design overhead is given by a set of things that in some cases seem coexixt without good reason: some impressive pieces such as chairs in bright shades of yellow and pink, wood living with installations of LED digital, old tailoring mannequins, TV and registers vintage style and a must-see wall made entirely of heritage suitcases. Anyway the atmosphere is immediately clear when from the entrance you are greeted and accompanied by pretty young girls sharp, little black dresses and perfect make-up which report on its badge the title of leaders of chaos.
