Monsieur Bleu restaurant is the last born in Paris in the Palais de Tokyo, pioneering space in which you can find the meeting point of the French cultural heritage and contemporary art. Monsieur Bleu versatile restaurant, which is proposed as a culinary and artistic experience at the same time, was built under the supervision of the French architect Joseph Dirand.
Dirand wanted to create an atmosphere dedicated to an invented character from which the place takes its name . In the imagination of Dirand, Monsieur Bleu is a bourgeois gentleman, cultured, elegant and mysterious, an artist and gastronome who lives every day at the same time in and out of conventional schemes. So the cosmopolitan ambience of the restaurant becomes suitable for any situation intimate, formal or eclectic.
The philosophy chosen by the architect is expressed in a sober elegance in shapes, colors and materials used for construction. The shades of black and white marble, material which dominates the interiors, are finished with shiny surfaces and golden; furnishings take up the luster and gilded surfaces and are juxtaposed with pieces in sophisticated shades of green. The rounded shapes contribute to the feeling of simple and timeless elegance around which everything of the interior design borns.
