Biasi tree is one of the most recognized Italian artists in the international context of kinetic art. The movement, in its passive meaning of virtual movement, apparent effect of movement, leads the artist to address his research on visual perception and the individual reaction to the light stimulus.
The "Trame", represent the first Biasi's study on the interference of the movement of the eye and of the natural light on a static, layered, nature-inspired surface, resulting from observation of complex elements and primitives such as hives.
Alongside "Textures" soon realizes "Reliefs optical-dynamic": overlaps of lamellar structures played on the effect of contrasting cromatisms and activated by the movement of the spectator tha becomes the "actor", jointly responsible of the visual event. Then start to appear "Dinamic Forms" obtained by torsion of materials prepared in thin layers and arrenged according strictly calculated geometries applied on different color background.
Deepening the research on the light impact of natural light, Biasi develops new solutions with "Polytypes", from the certain hypnotic fascination achieved by twisting, overlapping plans, plots of layers and strips, interacting, in pursuing of harmonic movement, with depth, third dimension more alluded that actually requested.
In the nineties the “Polytypes” are enriched with painting, an element until now partially overlooked by Alberto Biasi, in the form of color, tracks, shadows, allusions that support the articulated structure of the layered surfaces. The results is the "Assembly" serie often developed in diptychs and triptychs that develop, in recent years, until today, a severity coloristic increasingly rigorous and consistent, tending to monochrome.
