"If you was able to say something clearly, you should set it aside and move on" is one of the statements that best captures the artistic spirit of Rosemarie Trockel, one of the most difficult to classify artists of our time.

The artistic work of Rosemarie Trockel claims the freedom of expression through drawings, collages, "square-tissue", installations, objects, sculptures, videos. The popularity of the artist was never able to question its ambiguity, that in more than thirty years of activity has never ceased to be able to surprise, since in the 80s began to conceive his paintings with the use of knitted and fabrics that represent an attack on gender stereotypes.

The 26th January 2015 was inaugurated at the Kunsthaus Bregenz the largest exhibition of Rosemarie Trockel ever held in Austria.
