Idam is the new restaurant projected by designer Philippe Starck and chef Alain Ducasse. Located on the terrace over the entrance of the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha Bay in Qatar, the Idam Restaurant has been designed to bring a breath of vitality among the museum spaces and perfectly combines contemporary Arabic luxury and design of French origin.
The guidelines of furniture designed by Starck in black and white give way to the food colors and the tones of the surrounding landscape that filters through the windows. The monumental display windows that contain collections of glasses recall the atmosphere of the rooms of the museum, the wheels of faceted metal suspended above the tables and carpets that “cite" excerpts from the Thousand and One Nights create a scenic environment result the overview of Starck and Ducasse.
