The artistic director of French fashion house Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacob, in 2012 started a collaboration with the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama, which gives life to a limited set of bags, shoes and accessories by inimitable big polka dots and pumpkins. From this limited edition line was born the idea of a pop-up store in Selfridges in London that would incorporate the main features. An environment that is born from the intersection of five habitable domes that intersect to create a more large.
The interiors and the exteriors bear the original signature of Kusama's presenting perforation at polka dots and the shape of pumpkins, and even elements of the collection are on display on elements in the shape of giant pumpkins that reflect the shapes of the big lamps. The design of the structure of the store has been entrusted to Marc Fornes of THEVERYMANY. He has followed the creation of the largest housing ever built in the world made up of panels of carbon fiber.
