Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec is a design studio founded in 1998 by the French homonyms. Until September 13 2013 Les Arts Decoratifs museum in Paris hosts an exhibition dedicated to their work of the last fifteen years. The two designers undertake their collaboration in 1997 for the project "Cucina Disintregrata" presented in the same year at the Salon du Mueble in Paris. Their different personalities give life to an artistic dialogue that combines a common sense of duty.
The exhibition consists of furniture, lighting, space projects, videos and drawings combined to give life to a system that is both intimate and spectacular and that highlights all the features of the career of Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The spacial and modular problems are always placed in the foreground and resolved with color clashes aimed at creating delicate sensual aspects.
Visitors are greeted by an abstract landscape specially designed to guide them through a tripartite division of space, to reflect the three different approaches used by designers. The central corridor is devoted to a mainly architectural vision, the corridor side Tuileries proposes an imaginary space dedicated to office / work, while the other side corridor Rivoli provides an approach that highlights the creative process developed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.
