The Dongdaemun Design Plaza is the latest project by architect Zaha Hadid in the city of Seoul. The space was created as hub for the latest trends in art, design and technology. The project represents a skillful conjugation of context, local culture and engineering.

Forty and five thousand aluminum panels of different sizes and curvatures have been used to coat the external structure of the building and to give it the look and flowing together to an innovative backlight during the night makes a fascinating game of lights from the character futuristic.
The fluid movement of thought between the creative disciplines, the ultimate goal of the new space of aggregation, has inspired the architectural form and design. The exterior facade of the building is made with an advanced three-dimensional digital technology, of which Dongaemun Design Plaza is the first example of the use of a Korean public building, while the interiors exploit the architectural technique of drilling to exploit natural light.
