Colors like pink chewing gum, blue and white, the vibrant geometric contrasts and the contraposition between wood and plexiglas are just some of the proposals from the new collaboration established between the famous North American home Knoll and AMO - the counterparty of the firm of architects OMA. But that's not all: the new project, which will be once again exposed to the Salone del Mobile in Milan, has been used as a backdrop for the catwalk for Prada F / W 2013 men's collection.
The collaboration between OMA and Prada is not new, the fashion brand from many years makes use of the services of the architects studio for the design of its exhibition spaces, but this time the designers OMA-Knoll were commissioned to create a new concept space in via Fogazaro. The exhibition was designed to represent the "ideal home", objects and events of everyday life.
The models of the runway, crossing the space as actors, walk around the audience, to whom is reserved a specially built centered irregular shaped island. The space is made wider and realistic through the use of scenes on the walls that represent an illusive overlooking on a illuminated road. The environment is sophisticatedly homely.
