The Pierrevives building is the "city of knowledge and sport" of Montpellier and is designed according to the vision of the architect Zaha Hadid that culture must be accessible to all. For this reason, the structure of the building is inspired by the '"tree of knowledge", which lies stretched horizontally in the middle of the French plain.
The central structure is divided into three spaces that host archives, library and sport offices of Hérault department, that commissioned the work. The points of access to the different areas are organized as "branches" that intersect the main structure. Once again, the facades of glass and concrete designed by the architect defy the boundaries of urban design.
