Peter Botos is an exponent of prominence within the contemporary art
world, his art is rooted in the past and revisits the geometric
tradition of the early '900 according to the minimalistic and
avant-gardist canons. The Botos' choice of realizing optical glass works
comes from the study of the visual complexity that can be created
starting from the purity and the absence of defects of this material.
Refraction phenomenon and natural light effects are used by the artist in order to create three-dimensional works that recall the optical art. Simple and pure shapes such as cubes, prisms, spheres and pyramids are transformed into a visual experience that intrigues the viewer and creates visual illusions exploiting the contrast between visible and invisible.
