"Sculpture as form, sculpture as structure, sculpture as place": mixing minimalism, land art and conceptual art, the sculptor Carl Andre deepens its study on contemporary art.
The star of his work is the artist’s progressive vision who reinterprets the sculpture according to a new and irreverent language in which the artist's hand becomes invisible. Industrial materials such as steel, iron, copper and graphite are protagonists overshadowing the finest materials such as marble and bronze until now ubiquitous in this artistic practice. Besides the artistic innovation brought by Carl Andre in sculpture this exhibition dedicates broad space to his poetic production, which too often has been obscured by the plastic works.
