Roskilde is the most important festival of culture and music of northern Europe and from 2015 will have a new home. The Danish Rock Museum, MVRDV and COBE, along with Wessberg engineers and LIWPlanning, began the construction of the new location of the Danish Rock Museum, the first of the buildings of ROCKmagnetem, designed as a real district of rock music.
The ROCK magnet will be made up of three buildings in which the encounter between gold and red velvet transposes glamor philosophy of rock in architecture from. It will involve a large community of artists, musicians and other creative professionals, providing the city of Roskilde with interactive production rooms, exhibition spaces, a recording studio, a library, research facilities and stages for performances.
