Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, Jack Nicholson and Kate Moss are just some of the characters portrayed by David Bailey during his extraordinary career. Till June, 2nd the Bailey 's Stardust exhibition, organized jointly by Tod's, the magazine Icon, the National Portrait Gallery of London and the City of Milan, hosts 300 of the masterpieces of the photographer at the PAC (Pavilion of Contemporary Art).
Recognized as one of the founders of contemporary photography, David Bailey began his artistic career in the 60s and since the early works unhinges strict rules of the previous portrait and fashion photographers, marking his productions with the coolness of the Londoner street culture that always characterized his style.
In all the shots personally selected by the artist for Bailey's Stardust is palpable chemistry between artist and subject, a feeling that makes the exhibition innovative and provocative. The exhibition path is organized by topics and compare different themes telling the artist's journey around the world and over the time.
