"AMMO" stands for Asia, Modern, Museum, Original, but at the same time is a colloquial term for ammunition.

The new restaurant and bar at the Asia Society in Hong Kong Admiralty is in fact obtained from the renovation of an old warehouse, designed by the British Army during the 50s. The interior design is inspired by the films of Godard's Alphaville about the evolution of history, art and technology.

The interior designer Joyce Wang inside uses copper as material ubiquitous to commemorate the first use which was made of those rooms. The style is a chic ultra modern that does not lose sight of the story, but creates a world surreal. The lighting meticulously studied makes it warm and cozy. Despite the warlike context does not save on luxury that is expressed with the use of leather in silk and velvet in the upholstery of the seats.

The ceiling was inspired by a bunker and the stairs leading down to the center of the room are made as sculptures in order to lift up the look of visitors. Also in this case the material used is copper, which worked expertly performs virtuos movements. The chandeliers and other military objects carry this place to its origins, creating a magical and steeped in the past atmosphere.
