3.1 Phillip Lim want to provide its Korean customers with a curious and narrative experience in line with its brand identity, so it entrusts to study of designers Leong Leong the planning of its second flagship store located in the fashion district of Seoul. Also the stores in New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo will follow the same philosophy.
All stores will be designed according to the coexistence of the identity to reinforce the image of a relatively new brand, founded in 2004, and the difference to convey a sense of newness that arouses desire.
The designers have thought about taking inspiration from the project at Los Angeles and to use a variety of architectural stratagems to repropose some elements and the same atmosphere in a building formally different.
The particular walls immediately strike the eye; wallpapers are made from a collaboration with artist Wook Kim, who was inspired by a particular type of ancient Korean ceramics and reflect the desire to Phillip Lim to bring Korean culture within its store. Also the facade is a particularity, covered by paneled convex seems climb the sky of the city.
