In Milan borned a new large exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art and culture: the new headquarters of the Fondazione Prada, the result of a careful restructuring of a distillery dating back to the first decade of the twentieth century.
The new venue of Largo Isarco 2 is a project of the Architecture Studio OMA, supervised by the Dutch urbanist internationally renowned Rem Koohlaas. The articulated architectural composition combines existing buildings with three new constructions.
Contrasting dimensions as old and new, white and black, horizontal and vertical coexist within a project that is both a work of conservation and the creation of a new architecture.
