Surround Audience is the third edition of the Triennale, an initiative signed by the New Museum in New York dedicated to exploring the future of culture through the art of today. The exhibition examines the response of artists to social change resulted from a culture increasingly interconnected but that does not leave out the role of the self.

Surround Audience crosses numerous lines of inquiry entrusting to the work of fifty artists from twenty different countries. Artistic practices that the exhibition shows are the most varied: music, dance, poetry, cabaret, sculpture, video installations and also new approaches to art, such as advertising campaigns, digital platforms and social media.
Many works have been designed specifically for the exhibition, which for the two years preceding the inauguration organized research groups by hosting local and international artists. In addition to the gallery curators have selected realizations outside the museum used as means of dissemination of information about the exhibition itself, as Extended Release (2015) by the New York collective K-Hole and used as a campaign for the Triennale.
