Melco Crown Entertainment, one of the largest and best known owners of casinos and entertainment resort in Asia, has recently unveiled the design of the fifth tower of the City of Dreams, one of the company's flagship properties located in Macau, in China.
The sculptural structure is a forty-floors building with an exposed that will be used as a hotel whose design has been entrusted to the award-winning studio Zaha Hadid Architects. Conceived as a monolithic block with an empty excavated in the center, the hotel will be locked in a lattice.
The façade takes an attractive and dynamic look, while the outer exoskeleton improves the internal programming, reducing the interior structural requirements. The development of the new hotel began in 2013 and it is expected that its construction will be completed by 2017.
