In Soho, in Mercer Street, Balenciaga has opened its first flagship store carrying the new brand concept that will soon be expanded on a global scale. The interior design is a collaboration of the artistic director of Balenciaga, Alexander Wang, and designer Ryan Korban.
The huge space and the careful use of lights give life to an environment that seems to be occasionally austere, but that wants to transmit the need for a sense of history and permanence, inspired by the heritage of the brand and at the same time renouncing everything that is superfluous.
